Getting to the hotel from Singapore’s main points of entry is fast and easy. Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, is just 30 minutes away by taxi from most parts of mainland Singapore.
There are several options to reach Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. Guests can choose between taxis, mass rapid transit (MRT) and hotel limousine pick-up.

Taxis are easily available at Changi International Airport. Taxis in Singapore are generally comfortable and safe. The journey to and from the hotel takes about half an hour, and costs approximately SGD 25 to SGD 30.
Guests may also choose to ride the SMRT (Singapore Mass Rapid Transit) train to and from the airport, which takes roughly 45 minutes. The nearest SMRT station to the hotel (10-minute walk) is Orchard Road or Stevens (Downtown Line).
Explore Singapore with ease
Public transport is easily accessible and walking is a good way to explore the city. A few minutes away from the hotel is Orchard Road, a shopper’s paradise. It is renowned for large shopping malls, luxury stores, cafes and night clubs. Most of Singapore’s major attractions are within 30 to 45 minutes of the hotel by taxi.
Taxis are readily available throughout Singapore. They are generally comfortable and safe. All taxis are metered.
Please note there is a 50% surcharge for rides between 12midnight and 6am. A 35% surcharge also applies during peak hours (7am to 9.30am and 5pm to 8pm, Mon-Sat).
Buses in Singapore are efficient and inexpensive. For most routes, buses run between 6am and 12midnight.Bus rides accept cash or an EZ-link Card, which is also accepted on the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT).
SMRT (Singapore Mass Rapid Transit), a train service connecting all parts of Singapore, is the fastest way to get around the island. It is inexpensive and trains operate from 5.30am until 12.30am daily.

Given the small size of Singapore, and the excellent transit network, renting a car is generally not necessary.
A valid international driver's permit is required to rent a car in Singapore. Car rental services are available at the hotel.
Also note that coupons for parking spaces must be purchased before you park and these are available from post offices or petrol stations.
In Singapore, steering is on right.
The hotel provides a complimentary daily loop shuttle service that travels from Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, to the nearby Hotel Jen and then to Orchard Road. Morning shuttle service is provided to the Central Business District at Shenton Way and selected business parks Monday through Friday.
